Overwhelmed. That’s the only word to properly describe how I feel right now and I’m sure many of you can relate.
There’s a quote that says “Instead of telling God how big your problems are, tell your problems how big your God is.” I don’t completely agree with the first half of that statement. Personally, I find comfort in telling God what I’m facing. Yes, he already knows, but there’s comfort, closeness, and healing in prayer. I don’t feel like we have to hold back on crying out to him the things that are weighing us down. Releasing it to Him is the first step in allowing us to be set free of those things.
My child heard me praying aloud last night and when I stopped said: “Mom, it sounded like you were getting on to someone.” I realized immediately that she heard me being very passionate in my prayer. I was laying it all out at the feet of Jesus and didn’t hold back. And, I think that is what we’re supposed to do.
There is no one who can help like he can help; no one who can heal like he can heal; and no one to get you through things like he can.
Life and circumstances get hard, BUT GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES! Nothing is too hard for Him and don’t you forget that!
Jeremiah 32:27 I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?
Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard for the LORD?…
Jeremiah 32:17 Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
Luke 18:27 But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”
