Expecting the Impossible

The Bible contains many instances where things that were thought to have been impossible, happened. Remember Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Jonah, Daniel, and water flowing from the rock? What about when Jesus turned water into wine, healed the sick, caused the blind to see, walked on water, and raised the dead? And, let’s not forget that Jesus himself was raised from the dead!

Life hits hard sometimes and you’re left wondering which end is up. It often leaves you feeling defeated. It doesn’t matter how insignificant, compared to other issues, that you feel your problems are, the Lord still cares. According to His will, He helped those who called on Him and He still does.

If all those things mentioned above can happen back then, why should we expect any less from God today? After all, He hasn’t changed! Why shouldn’t we know, without a doubt, that He can fix our troubles both big and small? Faith and trust in Him are essential AND we have to get out of His way. We can’t fix things on our own but we can lay them at the feet of the one who can.

Remember to expect the impossible from Him! He can make a way where there seems to be no way.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Luke 1:37 For nothing will be impossible with God.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
