Don’t Lose Hope

I’ve been praying about something for months. Some days I feel there’s change and other days, like today, I see signs that make me feel nothing is different with regard to the situation. It’s kind of like a one step forward, two steps back deal and almost as if I can sense the spiritual battle taking place.

I have to remind myself that just because I can’t see a monumental change yet, doesn’t mean that God isn’t moving and stirring something in hearts. His ways are not my ways. His timing is not my timing.

Every day I see improvement, my heart is flooded with hope and even on days when I feel the situation goes awry, I still can’t help but have hope. I KNOW that God hears and answers prayers according to His will. I cannot, will not, and refuse to give up in this situation.

Today and every day all I can do is continue to pray, trust, and hold on to hope. Every hope I have is in Jesus and I know that he works all things for the good of those who love him.

1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

Psalm 37:7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
