The test that formed the testimony; have you ever thought about that statement? There are so many times I look at my life and see where God has brought me through things – big things.
Even though I’ve failed Him more times than I can mention, He has loved me enough to walk with me in the valleys, carry me up the steep mountainside when I couldn’t climb the mountain on my own, and then sit with me on the mountaintop where He teaches me the lesson from the journey.
In the midst of the journey I don’t always understand the reasons for the struggle but on the other side of the journey He always lets me realize how He has grown my faith, grown hope in my heart, and reminded me more and more to seek Him in both the good and bad that life throws me.
I firmly believe when we’re in our lowest, most broken moments, if we search, we’re able to see Him work and realize He has a bigger plan. We may never get the answers to all the “why’s” for the tests or the trials.
What we do get is the testimony and that testimony has a purpose. What are you doing with yours?
Romans 5: 3 “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
