Sometimes the things we think we need and want, aren’t the things we receive. Sometimes the plans and attempts in life we make, really aren’t what’s best for our particular situation.
I’ve recently had something on my mind and been praying. I was torn but thinking it would be good for me. Finally, I began to see this something may not have been in God’s plan for my journey.
While the outcome wasn’t exactly what I expected I was somewhat relieved, but truthfully, left feeling a little deflated because it looked so promising in many ways.
Even though that disappointment crept in, I had prayed God’s will be done and I knew that God knew what was better for me. I began to let peace replace the disappointment.
He laid Romans 8:28 on my heart and I’ve held on to it all week.
It doesn’t say “a few things work together”, it says “ALL things work together for good for those who love God.”
Even in the disappointments, He’s working something out for the good; something He’s designed, according to His will, especially for us that glorifies Him in our lives.
At church Wednesday night, the sermon and discussion couldn’t have been more on point. It was based out of 1 Peter 5:6-7.
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift
you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
He cares about my outcome.
It’s in HIS DUE TIME that things work out and I will continue to trust His plan for my journey, knowing He sees the bigger picture.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus
1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
