Praying for Our Own

The quote “Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle” is so true. You never know what someone is facing behind closed doors. This is especially true in our youth. The enemy is at work in their worlds and, as both a parent and overseer of students, it absolutely saddens and terrifies me at the same time.

Children growing up today are not the same as they were a few decades ago. Society has greatly distorted their views on life and many find themselves isolated and looking for solutions to problems on their own. They’re often turning to drugs, alcohol, sex, and suicide to try and fix the issues. Just watch the nightly news!

Decades ago you didn’t hear about the things you do now when you watch. It’s awful! They STRUGGLE…and it’s because satan has been steadily attacking harder and harder in each generation. I’m not saying that there’ve never been other struggles; I’m saying that the evil in the world is worse now than it ever has been and our children are suffering because of that.

It’s time to stand up, it’s time to call upon the Lord, and it’s time to cover our homes and our communities in prayer! Actually, it’s way past time if you really want to break it down! Our children need our prayers and if we don’t pray for them, who will? God will fight the battle but we have to be the prayer warriors that call upon Him to do so!

If you see a child, or anyone for that matter, who’s struggling, PLEASE let your light and the love of Jesus shine and work in you. You may be the only ray of hope in their world.

Our children needour prayers and if we don't pray for them, it may be no one does.

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

Deuteronomy 20:4 For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.

Deuteronomy 1:30 The Lord your God who goes before you will himself fight for you

Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, And my cry for help before Him came into His ears
